Lens Result Framework

Google • 2020-Present • Framework Team Lead

I'm leading framework design team for Google Lens and we're focusing on input and result system which sometimes not as straightforward as a text search. We always try to disambiguate user's intention through input and result system. Especially for the result system, we went through many iterations to make sure we reflect users intention right, and provide the most useful informations for the query.

We launched "Near me" which shows local restaurant result as well as more shopping optimized result card and price badge for shoppable items. These are some of vignettes that me and my team put together 3+ years, which powered variety use cases such as shopping, health, food, info-seeking and more.

One of highlights was the feature that allows search for skin conditions. Help users to take a first step when they couldn't really find the word to describe the skin condition. This was also featured in the official blog as 8 useful features of Google Lens.
